Exodus Chapter 3:8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey;
It is interesting that when the Israelite’s got to Canaan, they did not find a white river of milk and a brown river of honey. Instead, they had to plough the land, sow seed, harvest, do dairy farming, bee keeping, etc. In fact, by all standards the wilderness was easier. They used to find food waiting on the ground in the morning and water flowing from the rock. The blessing of God does not imply that you will not have to work. The blessing is divine enablement. That is why it applies to “the work of your hands”. It does NOT replace work.
Many of us shall be shocked when Christ returns. What we expect may be far from the reality. It is highly unlikely to be,sitting on clouds and singing all day. Ruling is work. God is ever at work even today.
